Requirements for Membership

• MEMBER:  A full Member of the Chapter must be a Member of the national HFES.  Any Member of the national HFES shall be eligible for election as a Member of the SOH Chapter.

• ASSOCIATE:  Any person active or interested in human factors or related field, but who does not qualify for election as Member, shall be eligible for election as an Associate Member of the SOH Chapter.  HFES membership is not required for this category.

• STUDENT:  Any full time undergraduate or graduate student currently enrolled in a regionally accredited college or university who is sponsored by a SOH Member.

• HONORARY:  Any person who, in the judgment of the Executive Council of the SOH Chapter, has distinguished themselves through outstanding contribution to the growth and development of the HFES and SOH Chapter and to the advancement of the profession, shall be eligible for election as an Honorary Member of the SOH Chapter.   

SOH MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION form can be completed below. Any person interested in human factors work is eligible for the grade of Associate. Current SOH membership totals 139 professionals.

Annual Dues are required to access benefits of membership, see Dues section below for details

Annual Chapter Dues are currently being accepted as an annual payment of $10 for Members and Associate Members and $5 for Student Members. Honorary Members are exempt from paying dues.  

The dues include: a subscription to the Chapter's newsletter, COMMUNIQUÉ, your name in our annual membership directory, and the ability to post your web site link and/or job opportunity on the SOH HFES web site. 

Pay one of the following ways
